Last IT class :'(

Ah so sad that its our last IT class :'( It was by far one of my favourite classes of the year, like a class to write and keep progress of the year and catch up on things! 

and now its all over.. no more IT twice a week :'(  I remember the first IT class and the first blog...oh the joys :') 

but sure onto big and better things! wooo 5th year! 

Im actually pretty excited tbh, like theres only so much TY you can take. Im ready for it to end now, yeah I liked this week but after this week thats it TY night and our trip and WERE FINISSSSSSHEED!  im so ready for summmer! off to the gaeltacht for 3 weeks then FRANCE! :D 

ah im actually beyond excited, just enjoying doing nada all summer, not that I've done much this year but Ah well! 

The year was amazing and I wouldn't change a thing :') 

Last IT blog ever.. will forever miss you IT !

Advice to 3rd years :)

To be honest I don't even know if 3rd years go on the TY blogs, but you never know.. 

So here's my advice to incoming TY heads :) Enjoy it! I know it seems pretty 'original' to say but seriously, if you think your having a terrible year then you will , but if you enjoy every opportunity your giving then you will love it! honestly I made the most of every trip , every fun class, every workshop and every single person!

Like there was some people who skipped trips and said TY was 'pointless' because we don't do anything, but that's not true! this year we did sooo much but just because its not studying or aiming for a big exam doesn't mean the work isn't equally important! 

Seriously, enjoy EVERYTHING inside and out of school, it can honestly be one of the best years of your life :') like I enjoyed everything, because the pressure of exams aren't there it gives you an opportunity to enjoy things in a more chilled out way, it gives you the opportunity to really really enjoy things! 

Every single trip you go on is something that you'll remember! I just honestly can't believe how different I feel after a whole year of TY , you grow up so much in TY suddenly, your ready for responsibility  and you realize your ready for work and how important everything is, like work experience made me realize how I really need to do well in my leaving cert, but also that it's not the only thing that matters, other things are important too :) so I really feel TY gives you great LIFE experience not just sitting down at a desk studying because where will you

 be after school when you get thrown into work if you have no idea what its going to be like? 

TY is a opportunity to start to live in the real life working world but also still have to comfort of being in school :) 

Overall what im saying is, You get from TY what you put in, you've probably heard that so much but its true, we got sick of hearing it too! but every word of it is true :D make your year the best it can be and enjoy every minute of it and it will be the most amazing year you can have ! 

Best of Luck with it , and hope you enjoy it as much as I did because I really did have one of the best years of my life! I really hope other TY's did too , Also love your TY year because your like a family until this time next year so, LOVE THEM! 

Oh no.. its nearly over!

Well here it is, my second last week of TY! :O 
I never actually thought TY would end, like I mean I never wanted it to end:(  This has actually been the most amazing, different, fun, exciting year of my life :') Ty has given me so many opportunities I never thought possible, like i've learned and achieved so much since I came into the year :) 
I may have not been lead in the musical or got into young scientist but I enjoyed the year for what I made of it and as cheesy as it sounds I think that's what matters. I'm going to miss being able to do nothing and not feel guilty about it! I just had so much fun, doing nada :) well things that I enjoyed, so i guess that isnt nada! 
I'm so happy I did it, because its the best feeling being part of that fun enthusiastic year that can have fun and you dont get into trouble for it! everyone is just enjoying life without stress and all and everyones in the same boat :) I wouldn't change a single person from my year, my year has been great because everyone talks to everyone and we all get along so well! NO drama or fights or nothing just great bant between everyone :) 


I think that the trips and bonding sessions between everyone made people grow in confidence and this will help in later years :) so i'm glad to say I did TY because I have achieved so much I never thought i'd do, helps with the old CV ;) 


so i'm off to do a blog on advice for incoming 3rd years :)

What I Learned about myself in TY :')

Okay this is gonna be a long one so Sorry if I bore you but this is one of those posts ive been wanting to for the year so here I go :) 
I don't notice a massive change in myself since the start of the year, but lets be honest nobody really does notice change in themselves. I've learned that I like to be in control alot..thanks for that mini company! and even when its other peoples job the organise im actually such a control freak over it! Basically I like to lead in situations :) I don't know how i didnt notice this before but I guess all the projects and group work showed me that I like to be in control of situations cause if i'm not in control then I don't think things are going to get done! Even when i missed a day this year I would start to freak out that the other members of my team aren't getting things done, so I suppose I probably prefer working on my own then with groups, although I LOVE to socialize so? :) 


I've learned that I'm a very open person, like I love to let people in and have dmc's :) because I don't know I probably get comfort out of talking to people about things , I've found that through all the things thats being happening in TY that I love to help people! and yeah thats about it , I never thought I was one to get involved and help out but it turns out I am! The musical was a big thing for me to show all my skills, organisation, socializing and just having a good time, since TY started i've actually become so enthusiastic about everything! :) like i've made so many new friends and still kept other ones (: this is great because its the best of both, every trip, new activities and event I have made a new friend and learned something new. 

So I think bullet points is the best way to go with this..
Main things i've learned from TY :) 

• I'm not great with crowds, like standing in front of people singing! not goood..
• Love to talk to new people! 
• Love trying new things
• Being more independent
• Get excited towards more thing! 
• very sociable person
• Pretty good communication skills
• freak out when it comes to change! but eventually get used to it :) 
• Love to brag about how amazing TY is :) 
• good with confrontation..I don't know how I know that but I guess it must be true?
• Love to get things done! 
• Don't do things unless theres pressure on me :O 
• Love to lay back relax and make the most of the spare time I have! 
• Realize how I don't need to be stressed about study and everything all the time :) 
• Love routine (: 

But love organizing things!..


So basically I've loved every minute of TY and i'm so happy I did it because I would of never experienced things that I experienced, Its one of the best things ive ever done!

Its getting tough!

So here we are on our last term of TY and everything is getting busier and better! We have lots and lots of projects, a bit too many! I should really get off this and go do them, but sure ill do them after, havent blogged in a while so I felt my blog needed a refresh :) 


So whats being going on in TY lately? umm..
well we have the Gaisce hike this friday and saturday! that should be fun, were all staying in hostels and have to make our own food and all and then we have a 25km hike and were doing high ropes too so that should be the bant! 


Last friday all TY's did the Swim a Mile with a Smile :) that was defiantly one of the best trips of TY, everyone just got so involved and everyone made it a good time :) I swam a mile! was pretty proud of myself tbh :') woo! Then after that we all headed to Blanch for a mcdonalds and a shop around! BANT 


On Tuesday class fódla and a few of banba went on a retreat to Glendalough. It was actually better than I thought, a lot different then other retreats we've been on, I got alot of things from the retreat! He was saying alot of inspirational things to us, one that stuck with me was this one that I posted below. Ms L asked us to do this, so hope you like it :)

Back again..

So were back again from our easter holidays, and it was greaat! Loved it but now were back and heads down jk were in TY..

Nah but seriously I do have a lot of work to do because project deadlines and everything are coming up so I got to work hard this term! HA ;)
So whats being going on lately?

Well its only being one day but we've being doing a good bit :) We have the swim a mile on friday, SUBJECT CHOICES some time this week eekk! :o and we have a retreat next week, oh and starting a new geography project that will be on my blog soon ! its about how the olympic games affect a country :D

so yeah thats pretty much all thats being going on apar from projects and stuff..

OHH fódla are having a bake sale tomorrow so if your reading this bring in money and help support our mini companys, ive a lot of baking to do tonight! yuuum :')

Easter Easter Easter!

Well its Easter and we have only 2 more days of school left then EASTEEER!
I actually am buzzing for easter especailly since the weather has being amazing the last few days, if it stays like this then it will be the best time ever :D
I want to do summer things so bad such as..

go to the beach
have a waterfight
be outside all the time!
PAN OUT
wear shorts
get a tan
Eat ben and jerrys
go swimming
take pictures!
climb a tree
eat easter eggs
SHOP
Disco disco
BBQ
have the bant.

So thats pretty much my easter holidays, and other things too ofcourse :) I hope it's as good as I expect :D

Geography Project, yes another one (:

well I just finished another geography project, we had to do a 'round the world trip' and a booklet on a disease in one country we visted. Now we had to do a 'google map on our round the world trip' it was actually fun because ive never made a map before!

I had to pin point every place I went to and write a little bit about it , so the countrys I went to were..
India
Saudi Arabia
Hong Kong
Italy
Germany
Dubai

It was fun learning about new countrys because i hadn't been to most of them before but I wanted to learn new things about them! I defiantly did that, after doing the project I would love to actually go on a round the world trip when I finish school.

The hunger games! ..nuff said

Today me and loads of the girls are going into liffey valley to see the hunger games ! woo :)
I actually cannot wait, im reading the book but i haven't got it finished BUT I actually can't wait till I finish the book so im going to see the movie then ill finish it! ahh well..

It'll still be quite the bant, People coming are.. Ellen, Aoife Green, Siofra, Niamh, Shanen , Ellie, Monique, and a few other girls maybeee..

Daffodil day!

On Friday after school me, Aisling and Aoife are going into town to fundraise for daffodil day!
yaay free t-shirts :) So were heading in to shake the bukets and ask them to donate money, and hopefully grab some grub!

Aisling has being emailing a lady from the organisation and we asked Ms. Barry could all TY's go into town on friday during school to fundraise, but  unfortunately were not aloud!
SO the three of us said we would give over an hour of our day to fundraise !
were such good TY's :')

time fly's when your having fun! especailly over a weekend..

So its Tuesday and were back in school after a long weekend, and what a weekend it was! I know this blogs supposed to be all school and everything but I need to add a bit of spice into it ;)

so enjoy hearing about my weekend..

Friday : I went home and I had a new arrival at my house, my new little puppy :') he is soo adorable! so I spent the day appreciating his cuteness, and then my friend came over :) it was quite the banter...
then I got a early night for the next day!

 Saturday: So Saturday I woken up by my two brothers and the new puppy! It was pretty funny if im honest. Then i had some breakfast, shower, lunch, my friend Laura then came over to my house we did the usual girl stuff.. hair, makeup, clothes, swapping clothes etc. Then we went out side met up with a massive group of our friends, and had the craic for the whole day, went in for dinner back out for more craic! and then in for a sleepover! :D and late night yogurt.. buzzz
(actually an epic day)

Sunday: Mothers day! spent the morning making brownies with Laura, they were a fail. Then she went home :( then family came down to visit the new puppy and haev dinner with us :) spoilt the mothers rotten so we did!
It was actually a great day, then watched movies all night and pigged out! ahh good times :')

Monday:  Monday Me and my family and my cousins and auntys and uncles went GO- KARTING! wooo
that was actually so much fun, I won fastest lap, I was pretty proud of myself!
Then after I went home went out for a walk with my friend, that was actually great, Then home for dinnner and a movie and some time with the puppy and fill in my gaeltacht application :)


overall it was a great weekend, really had fun :)

Why woman are great, ask INTEL!

Hey all,
On thursday intel came into us to talk about their company and all their female engineers. They were saying that most of their best engineers are girls! They were encouraging us to become part of the intel experience :) they let us know what they did in their fabulous company and how everything worked and that they play a big part in our world of technology!
So anyways I really enjoyed listening to all the great things intel had to say to us, and I loved hearing about some of the workers experience in the company. It was so intresting!

and I got a free stress ball! woo

Movie time!

On monday we missed our last classes of the day because we were watching sometimes in april. Its a movie about the hutu's and the tutsis, they were fighting in 1994 , the hutu's were after the tutsis because they thought they were responsible for killing their president! even though they lived in the same country they were fighting :/ its awful to think that went on only a short while ago! men were literally killing people straight out, women and children were being tortured and shot!
it was very grusum, but it was defiantly something we needed to watch to be aware of what happened in rewonda in 1994!
Everyone was upset after watching it, it had an impact on all of us.
Atleast we all know what happened now, we can support peace for the country too!

Really enjoyed learning about it :)

BRAVE FORCE

well yesterday we went down to meath (puddenhill) to do brave force! it was an army assault course but it was also a race. Nobody really cared that it was a race everyone just wanted to do it to see how they got on! It was defiantly a great experience, and great exercise!

We had to do things like ...
go through deep water up to our chests
RUN
crawl through muck
climb massive obstacles
walk over tires
jump over hay bayles!
Swim through a forest of water and bushes

Basically it was MAD! but amazing fun :') actually loved it, but hated the cold (the freeezing cold) and getting changed after was horrible, but apar from that it was quite the banter :D

would defiantly do it again :)

Obstacles and Racing.. oh

Okay so tomorrow were going to a race, nearly all of TY's. Its in meath and its an inter-schools race. We are going to be running through, basically rivers, bogs (up to our waist), and big ropes and obstacles we need to cross while racing! Ahhh! I'm pretty scared espcailly when you look at the pictures on the website. hopefully it will be fun though so im also very excited :D we have to wear the oldest clothes we have which isnt a good sign, and apparently we might be loosing shoes and all! so good luck to me...

Boom Boom Boooom!

Last tuesday instead of the normal very hard work we get up to usually, we had a drumming day :D
basically we spent the day learning how to play the jemba drums! wooo, it was actually so fun. The man who did it with us was called Dave he was a great teacher, he had amazing rythm :O
anyway he thought us a few tunes on the drum. which was great fun because we all felt all musical able to wack out a beat!
The school was bouncing with our beat..
anyway I really enjoyed learing how to play the jemba drums! Its defiantly an experience ill take away with me :') my hands were pretty sore though! But now atleast I know a few rythms and things to take away with me. My favourite part is when we all drummed together creating such a cool song all on different instruments each!

Back to Work.. well TY work

Most people would hate being back in school, but the joys of Ty have put me in a good mood :) Work Experience was great! I learned so much and I really got valuble life experience, I was in UPC in dublin. Everyone was so friendly and helped me with everything, I did some work for the company and then they took me to the fun side of the company..the marketing side :D they showed me how they made all the upc adds with craig doyle, and they showed me their radio adds and where they got the ideas for them and all! it was so interesting :D I loved work experience, but i am glad to be back in school and enjoy the rest of TY <3

Now when I got past the gettting up on monday morning I actually had a pretty good week, monday was grand. Tuesday we had a percussion workshop!  That was so much fun , the man who did it with us was soo good on drums, he studied percussion in Africa. He had amazing rythm and really got us all excited to play some drums :D we actually had a pretty good beat going by the end of it ! yaay im a drummer :D 
Oh thank you TY for all these amazing experiences :') that sounds pretty cheesy or whatever but I was just thinking if I never did TY I would of never got to do some of the things that weve done in TY.. Ive learned so much (: ahh the joys of it all :D
Later on were going down to a TY work shop, and im not just happy about that because were missing maths..no no no :) I think it'll be fun.

Pilgrimage to Kildare!

On Tuesday we went to Kildare town to celebrate St. Bridgets day. It was about a week after St.Bridgets day so we went off on the bus and headed down to Kildare town :)
Suprisingly it was more historic than I thought!
I think im just going to give you a list of things we did because lets face it, lists are fun :)

Saw St.Bridgets Catedral and roundtower
Visited her kitchen
Walked to Kildare outlet mall
got Starbuccks! yuum

stoped for lunch in a community centre

walked
laughed with Aisling
finally got to St. Bridgets well , said a prayer put my hand in the holy water

Went to another one of her wells,
had prayer service
and walked home :)
got on the bus and SLEPT!

so that was our trip to kildare, it was actually pretty intresting ! suprisingly!
I defiantly know more about our patrient saint :)

Some place id like to go after school :)

okay this is a blog challange from january which I forgot to do so I thought id do it now (:
anyways, a place I would like to go after I leave school, I know people say Australia and that kinda thing, but I would actually love to go to somewhere like Asia, like Hong Kong or somewhere like that! I think the idea of us all living in the same place but looking completely different or speaking a different lanuage is such a strange thing! I would really really like to experience new cultures and things like that :) purely because I dont think you can ever see enough of the world, like I have been to alot of places. Most places people would never visit in their life time but if anything this makes me want to go and see the world more! this is all pretty sappy and all that , but if im going to do a blog challenge im going to do it right! :D
Anyway, some places I defiantly have on my to-do lists are places like.. Hong Kong (china in general), Canada, Hollywood(aww yeaa), hawaii, new zealand, south africa and lots more I always want to visit some small places again that I might have already seen such as France, Italy, Brazil, New york (america in general) and yeah basically I want to see the world, and I know your probably reading this being like 'ye we all do' but I really am going to try and not just see the world, but experience it (: considering its only a plane journey away from anywhere I have no excuse!

So thats a blog challenge for you :)
